Funny family stories

Okay, I am hoping for many responses to this blog. I am asking everyone in the family (both sides) to record their favorite story or stories that have been passed around the family at every single get together. I think it's about time to get these oral traditions written down. Then feel free to copy, paste, and print your own copy of the stories for your posterity! ;-)

I love the story about how one of Paul's brothers (I don't remember which one) borrowed a tool from Grandpa Bruderer and much later gave it back to him for Christmas. That one gets me everytime.

My favorite is when my dad told Grandma he was superman and was fine to run into the road. Granmda poked him in the behind with a needle and said if he was superman, it wouldn't have hurt. Or, when he didn't make his bed one day and come home from school and his bed was taken down and moved somewhere else. Grandma rocks!

I remember when I was 2 I was at my other grandparents' house and somehow I split my ear open. I don't know if it was because my parents couldn't afford emergency room expenses or what but uncle Kieth ended up sewing my ear back together down in the basement at Grandma and grandpa Bruderer's house. They said I didn't even cry or anything, I just jumped off the table and said, "Thanks uncle Kieth!" I still have the huge scar!

I also remember when Uncle Paul sent me this sand in a bottle from his mission when we were living in Oregon. I thought it was so cool and I treasured that thing. I remember I brought it to school and somehow it broke. I was so devestated, so my mom called Paul and told him and he sent me another one! He always made me feel so special. He would always talk to me and include me in conversations and that meant a lot.

I also remember going up to Reed & Diane's cabin and how much fun we'd have there on the rope swing.

I could fill up your blog with good memories I have!
